Prizba – Korcula

Welcome to Prizba, a popular summer resort on the south side of Korcula! Feel the summer vibe on the pebble beaches with a crystal clear sea or enjoy a relaxed swim along the shoreline. Heading to the north of Prizba, you will reach Blato, the center of the county. Here, you can attend the famous sword dance Kumpanjija, happening very often during summertime. It is a popular traditional event telling the story of how brave men of Blato defended their hometown against the attackers many centuries ago. Walking through Blato, you'll notice a long linden tree alley. It is a popular route for having a morning or an afternoon walk and one of the symbols of Blato. Do not miss to try some of the local wine in a wine tasting corner! This area has a rich and long wine making tradition and an unique history of cultivating the vines on the hillsides around Blato.

This port on the western side of the island is a home of some of the most renowned klapa singers and a mandatory spot for tasting the traditional fish meals. Feel the summer sunsets while walking on the long seaside promenade and enjoy the popular music and food events. Discover more of the history of this area by visiting the famous archaeological spot, cave Vela spila, or admire the views to the horizon and the whole western side of the island from the abandoned fortress Hum. To relax after all that sightseeing, visit the islet of Proizd and dive in to all the shades of blue and turquoise sea on the beaches over there.

The historic town of Korcula lies on the eastern side of the island and it is a mandatory spot to visit while staying on the island. Wander through the medieval city streets with the bustling summer vibe and sunbathe on the beaches even in the town center! Korcula's restaurants with Michelin-class chefs with each year attract more foodies and everyone who fancies a good bite.
